This is one of those recipes that is so good that you try it and you can never forget it.  I haven’t met a person yet who doesn’t fall in love with it upon first bite.  And it’s so easy that you’ll make it every time you find an excuse to whip it up.

Cherry gelatin meets the best of cherry pie and gets a special zing from the addition of Coke!  As easy to make as any jello you’ve ever made, this one wins for flavor and simplicity!

It’s sooo easy and sooo yummy and if you make it and share it, I promise, you’ll become popular with whoever eats it.
How’s that for a promise?  Three ingredients.  Well, technically four if you count water.  But, who counts water?  Really, though.

Here we go…!  Boil two cups of water and add it to either one large or two small packets of cherr

y Jello.  Stir to completely dissolve.  Add in one large can of cherry pie filling.  Not cherries.  Cherry pie filling.  Stir.

Now, add in a 12 oz. can of cola.  Coke is the original flavor, but our new favorite is Dr. Pepper.  You can also use Cherry Coke or Cherry Dr. Pepper if that trips your trigger.  Just slowly pour one can in, cover the whole things and refrigerate for several hours until it’s thick. You’re going to want to serve this with whipped cream of some sort.  You will.  So, I guess that makes 5 ingredients, but at this point, seriously, who’s counting?  Not me — I’m too busy enjoying!

The Rest Of The Story: I got this recipe from a dear friend during our days @ Faith Fellowship. She was a crusty, old lady. Met Jesus when she was in her sixties, after years of cussin’ and smokin’ and livin’ loose. Little did I know my family and hers were farming neighbors in Holton, back in the 1930’s.  One day sitting around the table at my Aunts, she & her brother started talking about the farm and the Leaton neighbors. Of course my ears perked up and we discovered it was the same Georgia I knew. When they asked me how I knew Georgia, I told them she got saved and went to our church – you should have seen their jaws drop. I called Georgia on the phone and they spent some time catching up. My Aunt invited her to spend Thanksgiving with us one year and she brought this jello.
