Country Fried Steak
 
 
Made in minutes, this Cast Iron Cube Steak is easy to make and makes the whole family ridiculously happy.

Grocery List
  • 2 lbs. cube steak cut into 5-6 steaks
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 T. pepper
  • Refined coconut oil, butter, or bacon grease
Here's how...
  1. In a shallow dish combine flour, salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge each piece of steak until thoroughly coated.
  3. Heat cast iron skillet to medium high.
  4. Add your choice of oil and heat.
  5. To hot oil, add 2-3 steaks (don't overcrowd the pan) and fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Flip and brown the other side for 2-3 minutes or until desired doneness.
  7. Let rest under tented foil for 4-5 minutes and serve with gravy or steak sauce.
  8. To make a milk gravy, add ⅓ c. flour to pan drippings. Whisk in 2 c. milk until heated and thickened. Add salt and pepper to taste.
