A nutritious lunch or breakfast, this blueberry oatmeal is an inexpensive way to bring hearty goodness to your family with the delicious flavors of blueberries and vanilla and cream.

  • 2 cups oats
  • ½ cup maple syrup or sugar
  • ⅛ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. blueberries
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
  • ⅛ c. milk
Here's how...
  1. Boil 3 c. of water and to it add 2 c. of old-fashioned oats.
  2. Add maple syrup or sugar, cinnamon, and salt and let it cook at least five minutes or until thickened.
  3. Add one heaping cup of fresh or frozen blueberries. If you use frozen let them cook a couple extra minutes to warm through.
  4. Remove from the heat and add vanilla and milk.
