A recipe for baked beans from scratch given to me from my beloved aunt. Her recipe is one you can enjoy as thoroughly as we do. Flavored with bacon and molasses, these thick and slightly sweet beans will be your go-to baked bean recipe.

  • 4-15 oz. cans of northern beans
  • 3 T. molasses
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 4-6 slices raw bacon
Here's how...
  1. Drain and rinse the northern beans. Put them in a heavy, covered 2 qt. pot or oven-safe dish.
  2. Stir in molasses, tomato soup, and brown sugar.
  3. Lay 4-6 slices of uncooked bacon over the combined ingredients.
  4. Cover and bake at 300 degrees for 4 hours.
  5. Stir well to break up the bacon and season with salt and pepper to taste.
