Our last day in West Virginia was awesome.

Justin, Kyrsten and I decided to go for a bike ride to the general store that was about half a mile up hill away from our campsite. I found like the coolest moccasins, and I just had to get them. ๐Ÿ™‚ so we rode there and back and were really hot after we got back. I went to put my new shoes on…and they gave me two different sizes and they were both made for the right foot. So we went back to the General store, and switched them back, and rode back to the campsite. By this point, we were really exhausted and hot, and after getting some lunch, the family decided to go hiking in the mountains for a while.

We spent most of the afternoon out there, and eventually Mom, Kyrsten, and I decided to come back to the RV and get dinner ready. The boys came back about half an hour later, and claimed that they saw THE coolest thing they had ever seen in their whole lives, and that we girls had to come back with them and see it. By now, we had had a pretty full day and our feet were really hurting!! But we decided to be good sports and hike a super long way out into the mountains again and see what they were talking about. We ended up winding through these cliffs that were super steep, in our bare feet, down through these waterfalls. When we got to this certain point it was indescribable. Straight ahead of us was overlooking all these miles and miles of mountains, you really couldn’t tell how high up we were until you looked out at these mountains. And then if you turned around there all these little waterfalls, and then like a couple big waterfalls that just fell down these cliffs. It was just breath taking. We took a billion pictures, and we worshiped together as a family by building an altar and we all individually thanked God for who He is. There was something about the setting and the landscape that just made us feel like we were in the presence of God.
I doubt any of us will be forgetting that anytime soon ๐Ÿ™‚

We are in Virginia now, after a looooong hot car ride yesterday to get here. It was in the 90’s yesterday, and it was even hotter today. We were able to go pick up a rental car, which will make it a million times easier to go out and see the area. The ride to get the rental car, and to bring it back was really eventful. The drivers here are CRAZY!!! On the way to the rental car place, a man apparently got agitated that my dad was changing lanes. Soooo he starts shouting out his window about how dad “needs to get a drivers license!!” Dad leans out his window starts yelling at the top of his lungs just this random gibberish nonsense, over talking this mad dude. The guy and the girl he was with didn’t even know what to say to that so they just quit talking, and the looks on their faces was the funniest thing EVER!!
On the way back from the rental car place, my mom was driving the rental car, and Kyrsten and I were riding with her. This guy just all the sudden cut into our lane, and I don’t even know how he missed us. But he decided to take offense to this (what?) and started yelling who knows what out his window. Instead of just driving off, all three of us girls threw our hands up in the air and made mean faces at the angry guy. He quickly drove off and we had a good laugh. Who knew we were so intimidating ๐Ÿ™‚

This week we plan on going to George Washington’s plantation and hopefully getting the chance to go into DC a little bit. ๐Ÿ™‚ so yeah. Have a good one. haha
