In case Apple Cider Syrup wasn’t enough for you, Kyrsten made some Cinnamon Syrup that knocked our socks off. Somewhere between a buttery caramel sauce and cinnamon-y syrup, this stuff is drool-worthy for sure! We made pumpkin waffles to accompany this goodness, but Apple Pancakes or Fluffy Pancakes would be honored to be dripping with this decadent yum.
Ready in just a few minutes, this is perfect if you’d like something a little special, a little different from the usual maple or butterworth fare.
To make it, all you need to do is add the following ingredients to a 3 qt. pot:
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. water
2 T. heavy cream
1 tsp. cinnamon.
Bring this mixture to a boil and then cook, stirring constantly for 8 minutes. The pot is large to accommodate the bubbling up of the mixture. If it’s bubbling up too much, lower the heat and continue stirring. After 8 minutes, remove from the heat and add in 1/3 c. heavy cream and 1 tsp. vanilla.
Serve warm and store in the refrigerator.
- 1 c. sugar
- ½ c. corn syrup
- ½ c. water
- 2 T. heavy cream
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- ⅓ c. heavy cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- In a 3 qt. pot over medium heat whisk together the sugar, corn syrup, water, 2 T. heavy cream and cinnamon.
- Bring this mixture to a boil and then cook, stirring constantly for 8 minutes. The pot is large to accommodate the bubbling up of the mixture. If it's bubbling up too much, lower the heat and continue stirring. After 8 minutes, remove from the heat and add in ⅓ c. heat cream and 1 tsp. vanilla.
- Serve warm and store in the refrigerator.
