Cider syrup gives you an option to spice up your everyday waffle or pancake topping. With a punch of apple, this thick, creamy syrup will make you come back for more!

Serves: 2 cups

  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 T. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. allspice
  • ¼. tsp. ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp. ground cloves
  • ⅛ tsp. salt
  • 2 c. apple cider
  • 1 1 /2 T. apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ c. butter
Here's how...
  1. In a medium saucepan or medium heat whisk the sugar, cornstarch, spices, and salt together.
  2. Then whisk in the apple cider and apple cider vinegar.
  3. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and boil for 1½ minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in ¼ c. butter that has been cut into cubes.
  5. Serve warm.
