Serves: 6-8 servings
Grocery List
1 c. hot water
1 c. butter
1½ c. all-purpose flour,
1 c. milk
1½ tsp. baking powder,
¼ tsp. salt,
1½ c. sugar,
and 1 T. vanilla.
6 T. cocoa powder
additional 1 c. of sugar.
Here's how...
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Begin to heat 1 c. water to a simmer.
In a mixing bowl, combine the following ingredients: melted butter, flour, milk, baking powder, salt, sugar, and vanilla.
Pour them into a 9x13" pan.
In a small bowl, mix 6 T. cocoa powder, and the remaining 1 c. of sugar. Sift this over the top of the ingredients already in the baking dish. Do not stir!
Pour the hot water over the top of the whole thing (again, do not stir) and bake until the top feels firm (the center will be gooey), 30-35 minutes.
