Grocery List
  • About 12 tart apples
  • ¾ sugar
  • 2 T. flour
  • 1 T. cinnamon
  • ½ c. water
  • 1 c. old-fashioned oats
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • ¾ c. butter
Here's how...
  1. Peel and slice apples and place them in a buttered 9x13" baking dish.
  2. Add cinnamon, flour, and sugar and mix it well.
  3. Slowly pour ½ c. water over the apple mixture.
  4. Use a mixer or pastry cutter to cut the cold butter into the oats, brown sugar, and flour until the butter is the size of peas. Refrigerate the topping for at least 20 minutes to chill the butter.
  5. Pour the topping over the apples.
  6. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the filling bubbly.
