This is the recipe that redeems the loaf of meat. A secret ingredient is a game-changer and makes meatloaf drool-worthy.

  • ½ c. brown sugar
  • ½ c. ketchup
  • ¾ c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • 1 small chopped onion (or 1 Tbsp. minced onion)
  • ¾ c. crushed cheese crackers
  • 1½ lbs.. Ground beef
Here's how...
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, the onion, and barely crushed cheese crackers.
  3. Add in the ground beef and mix everything together well with your hands.
  4. Put the whole into a loaf pan and pat into shape.
  5. Spread ½ c. brown sugar over the top and then ¾ c. ketchup.
  6. Bake for an hour or until the meat is no longer pink.
