Grocery List
1 c. butter
1½ c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
⅔ c. cocoa
¾ tsp. soda
¼ tsp. salt
2 c. chocolate chips
Pecans
Here's how...
Cream the butter and sugar together.
Add in the eggs and vanilla and mix well.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cocoa, soda, and salt.
Fully combine the dry ingredients into the first mixture.
Stir the chocolate chips in by hand.
Form the dough into balls and place onto a cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
If desired, press a whole pecan into the top of each cookie.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes, removing them from the oven JUST when it starts to look done. Look for the middle to be just beginning to set, but allow a little gooey-ness to remain in the center.
Let cool on the cookie sheet for about 3 minutes and then move to a wire rack to finish cooling.
