Canned salmon transforms into a crispy, flavorful patty of yum with just a little help from this great recipe. An easy way to sneak salmon into your family's meals in a way they will love.

Serves: 4-6 servings
Grocery List
  • 2-15 oz. cans of salmon
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 T. parsley
  • 1-2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
  • ½ tsp. pepper
  • ½ -1 tsp. hot sauce
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • 1-2 eggs
  • Lemons
Here's how...
  1. In a large bowl, combine chopped onion, fresh lemon juice, pepper, hot sauce, and garlic powder.
  2. Drain the juice from 2 cans of salmon and reserve the juice if needed later.
  3. Beat an egg and add it to the rest of the ingredients.
  4. Finely chop leftover bread or crackers to create 1 cups' worth of bread crumbs.
  5. Add them to the mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Heat a skillet to medium high.
  7. Make up a patty to see if it holds or needs another beaten egg to hold together.
  8. Add butter to the hot pan and place 3-4 patties and cook them for 3-4 minutes per side.
  9. Remove to a platter and keep them warm in an oven on the lowest setting.
  10. Serve with fresh lemon.
